At our hunting club we tend to say "take/took" and "harvest" because, sort of like
nothinspecial said it seems to portray more of a respect to the animal and to the animals creator. Also, in an attempt to be more politically correct we say this just because it is more friendly with the nonhunting community and it, in general, sounds more humble in my opinion.
Politically correct thats all......... I say SHOT or KILLED em. Who cares about bein correct, right?
I guess I care about being correct not for myself but for my future generations. The more friendly the hunting community seems, and the more ethical it seems to the anti-hunters, the less likely there are to be anti-hunting arguments. I guess I'm concerened for the future rather than for my self.
I went to Vietnam for two yearsand "Harvested" some dinks.
What's a dink? i hope you're not really talking about taking the lives of people and comparing it to taking a deer. i really hope that's not the case
Just like all this hoop da la about the Braves and the tomohawk chop, or the attempt to change the Redskins name because it was offensive to some idiot...
perhaps a native american was offended because after years of his ancestors suffering and being forced off land that was rightfully theirs he has to turn on the TV and see the tomahawk chop and people celebtrating native americans as if they are a mere mascot and had always been treated with respect with in reality it was quite the opposite? some idiot? its hard to judge someone until you walk in their shoes
