Default RE: Ok Ethics Police ........2 Part Question .................................................

What I have come to realize as a result of this discussion is because I may choose to recover a deer on posted property at significant distances from anyone's residence or buildings it is effectively the same as me entering their home without permission. In a million years I would have never thought that the two things were considered in the same manner. So being the heathen that I apparently am I will now begin to enter peoples homes at will to quench my thirst or to make a sandwich use the bathroom what ever my needs dictate.(NOT)
My sense of ethics are such that when I squeeze the release while shooting an arrow or pull the trigger while firing a rifle I will not rest until I have recovered the animal that I have shot or determined that I havn't hit it lethally.
I have never had to trespass to recover an animal,I have neverset up near another hunters property line.My sense and hope of human nature is that anybody whose property I haveentered or crossed to trail and recover a wounded animal would respect my diligence to do what I believe to be right and respect that I either didn't want the animal to suffer unnecessarily or that I wanted to make use of the animal versus leaving it to the predators.
I understand the points made by Big John,Bawana Jim.SteveB etc..If I had hunters who were hunting my land when told not to,or were poaching on my property they would get no consideration from me.But for the guy or gal who entered my property to recover an animal and who I had never had any difficulty with would get my consideration and help regardless of whether they had asked forpermission or not.Their sense of gratitude and courtesy would dictate what would happen in future situations.Any thing beyond this is not comprehensible personally to me!
I would be willing to take my chances offering explanation to a landowner and if need be a judge.
