Default "That's alls I can stands,

and I can't stands no more."
to quote a famous sailorman.

All this talk of shooting and poor little me not haveing had the chance to get out and do my homework for Master Semisane, has sent me over the edge!

It was a nice balmy 10'F with about a 20 MPH wind crossing right to left. On the good side, the Sun was shining. I took the day off to get some hotwater tank work done but he couldn't make it and I couldn't see my butt going to work, so.........

I decided to do some shooting with the Lyman .50 GPR Flintlock. Load for all shots was 90 gr 3F Goex (measured in the deer antler measure I made, 45 gr / pour http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v445/HuntAway/108-0810_IMG.jpg), .010 dry lubed patch, .495 Hornady ball. Prime was 3f as well. Range about 30 - 35 yds tromping through jingle deep snow.

Today I figured I would shoot as I would as if in a stand hunting. That is, sitting in a folding lawn chair and using a pair of made on the spot shooting sticks.

If you all remember I had a little fall one day and broke the fibre optic front sight. I put the new one on today and with no adjustments it shot fairly well.

My first shot was the low one in the tape all the rest are on the plate. That's a 5 shot string around the bull. I only fired 14 shots because I wanted to try one of those CO2 unloader thingy's. So I loaded up as per normal then hooked up the unloader and dishcharged it. It worked like a charm and blew the powder, patch and ball clean out of the barrel. Stupid me didn't have anything to catch the ball and it buried in the snow.[:@]
