I use one every now and then. Sometimes they help and sometimes they don't. I worked a bird last year for an hour. I started mixing in some gobbles with yelps and got him to within 40 yards. It was really thick where he was though, so I couldn't get a clean shot. They probably don't work more than they do work though, but it's still worth a try. I always carry one with me, just in case.
