ORIGINAL: Washington Hunter
I don't expect you to change your mind, Big. Which is why I haven't made an attempt to make an argument in favor of my
opinion. All I've done is state my
opinion and have that
opinion torn to pieces by you.
Yes, I would break the law in order to retrieve my deer if it came down to it. I killed that animal. It deserves to be used not wasted. If my neighboring landowner wants to be a prick and not let me get it, I'll do it when he doesn't know about it.
I'll make my opinion clear;
I would break the law to get my deer.
If that makes me an unethical hunter in your eyes, so be it. Bummer deal. Do I really care? No.
That is my opinion and it isn't up for argument. You feel the way you do, I feel the way I do.
Leave it at that.
Dan,
Your opinion on the matter is one thing, acting on it is quite another.
Stating that you would break the law to get your deer (as you so boldly typed it)however,does not speak highly for you or anyone else who agrees with this line of thinking. I can't see how advocating the breaking of laws be ANYTHING but bad for our sport and how others perceive it and us as hunters. Do you really want the non hunting public to think a hunter will willingly trespass on their land for no better reason than to get a deer? Do you think they could care less about your hunting ordeer for that matter? All they see is someone blatantly disregarding their POSTED wishes.
If you don't like the laws...do something about it, but for Gods sake don't break them because it suits you at the moment, they (the laws) were put into place for a reason right?
