Default RE: .577 NE or .600 NE double rifle?

Hey guys, I'm brand new here, but i just wanted to put in my two cents. I'm young, and inquisitive and inexperienced, but i did just shoot a .577 Nitro today. An officer at the range i go to had it, and his shoulder didn't want anymore when he still had about 6 rounds left, so he let some of us shoot it.

A couple thoughts:

The guys in the video are idiots, who obviously don't know how to stand to shoot a high power gun. I didn't lose my balance at all, and i only weigh 170.

the recoil is incredible, but with a good honeycomb rubber pad it wasn't as PAINFUL as i expected, but it does knock your whole body back.

the guy qhose gun it was hand loads his shots, and he says he pays about $2.50 per round, or $50 for 20, whereas to buy its about $340 for 20. So if you can handload, the cost is significantly less.

But moreover, having shot that gun, yeah it was an incredible experience but i sure wouldn't want it on a hunt. It was by far the heaviest gun I've ever held, and the bulkiest. it seems more like a gun to say to buddies, "yeah, its a hemi" than to actually use. and for $22K that doesnt seem worth it to me. But again, this is one simple man's opinion.
