Default RE: preserving velvet?

You can use formaldehyde or an antler preservative on the market which are safer than formaldehyde. Prior to injectingthe antlers, prick small holes into the tip of each tine using a small pin and then several holes at the base of the antlers. Then start to inject thesolution chooseninto the tip of the antler. The solution will fill up the antlers and in turn push out the bloodto the base holes you have created. Once the solution comingat the base of the antlers is clear, all theblood has been removed from the antlers and you can stop injecting them. If your mounting them you let them dry for a1-2days before proceeding.

Hope it helps good luck.
