Shots 1-3 were with 90 grains of Goex 3f shooting a 375 grain Buffalo Bullet SSB which is a pure lead Spitzer hollow point. They were spraying all over the place and I noticed black powder speckles all over the snow in front of the shooting bench. So I cut the powder charge down to 70 grains of Goex 3f and the same bullet. That was the ticket... It really started to lay them bullets in there. Open sights are not my favorite, but I would hunt today with that rifle and that load. The rifle fired flawless.. It was a good day on the range. That was shooting at one of those little cake paper plates. That main group measures an inch and a half, not counting the 90 grain sprays and the ones in the bulls eye.. so over all that is a pretty good load.
