Tuco: I`ve seen that steel bar. I figured it was to help reduce the recoil.
A friend of mine has the same gun, he said it probably helped with
the balance of the gun, also, since the barrel is so heavy.

Mr. Longbeard: I thought about getting it drilled and tapped a little closer.
But, it`s a 2nd turkey gun, so I don`t want to spend too
much $ on it. Plus, my buddy is giving me a Red Dot scope,
so I only have to buy the bases.

I was just wondering if anyone had any problems sighting down, on a turkey, with the scope so far away. Thinking about it, I`ve shot pistols with red dot scopes and didn`t have any problems. They`re arms length away, soI don`t think I`ll have too much trouble.
