I got involved with the TC's while shooting steel handgun silhouettes. For this they excelled big time. I shot the 44 Magnum and later the 35 Remington. I had the carbine in 223 as well. I also used the 30 Herret and 35 Herret. I added the 357 Maxiumum to the list and last but not least, the 45-70. These were however all on the Contender. I never liked the idea of real high pressure single shots but my expierence with the Contender and lower pressure barrles have all been good.
Same goes for the NEF rifles, I have had great service from the rimmed lower pressre calibers and mostly problems with the rimless high pressure ones. I wouldn't touch one of the new Magnum models with a 30 foot poles.
Lastly I agree that as main hunting tools, if you want a shotgun, buy a shotgun, If you wany a rifle buy a rifle. I have had excellent customer service from TC in the few times it was needed.
Yeah BC, get rid of those tasco scopes.
