hornady doesn't suggest using it in semi-autos, otherwise I don't see a problem with it/damaging rifles. I'd listen to them and not use it in a semi auto, otherwise, try it out. May shoot flat for 140's, but just use regular 130gr's if not the light mag. Not much of a difference in energy etc....
