That depends how many weeks he has been doing it for.

I shoot two a month and my goal is to stay above 265, we score 5-8-10-11. The guys who win hunter class typically shoot between 295 and 305. My personal best is 292. And my worst was a 262. I've been shooting a bow for about 9 years, but this will be my third summer shooting 3D.

I'd say that if you are shooting every single week, and you are a good shot, but still fairly average (like me), your average should be in the 270s.
