Not putting down; but a 60# bow is still 15 lbs over the recommended kinetic energy to kill an Alaskan Brown bear. NC deer and all southern deer are small bodied. Just stating facts. Why 70#?
Dude, because we like it, and we can. You like 60# and that's great. Knock yourself out. I have been bowhunting for a very long time and love to try out gear and I will tell you that drawing and holding my bow with 70# limbs set at 67# was much more comfortable than shooting a bow that would produce the same KE as my bow at 10 lbs. less. Oh, and my bow is quieter too. Even with my draw weight that high I still don't blow through every puny PA or NJ whitetail that I shoot, so I'm not changing a thing.
