I think some guys call a small kisser or tied in nock point like you're describing as a "nosey". It's just another refenence point.
I put the string on the tip of my nose like bigj and bigcountry. You're still putting the release head below the corner of your mouth. I used to tie in a nock point to hit the tip of my nose when I started shooting this way. It's a good way to get your anchor consistant.
