my serving gets lubed from horton lube on rail,so i dont even touch that.
as for string part,its habit with me,i wax it everytime i shoot it,likewiping down your gun before you go hunting.
i figure you may see problem before it happens this way but what do i know, i did not even know my limbs were split.
