I can tell you from personal experience that turkeys are very difficult to harvest with a bow. The vitals aredeceptively small and the feathers give you the illusion that the bird's body is fairly large. Also, turkeys only have a small area of their bodies where they will readily bleed. I have shot several turkeys through the middle of the body where the arrow, after a pass through, hardly had any blood on the shaft. Haven't given up on the body shot and went over the head choppers yet . . . . but the use of some sort of aid to keep the arrow head in the bird is invaluable. For me, the Adder washer in conjunction with a 75 gr. Muzzy has worked pretty well.
