RE: Leasing Iowa Land
Since I live not far from there, I'll give you $100 per year for deer rights! (Joke of course). I couldn't afford to lease land on my retirement pay. What does the interested party want to hunt on the land, birds or deer? If it is a deer hunter, set the price high. Have your family ask neighbors who lease their land what they are getting and depending on the feedback they get, set the price accordingly. But have them be careful of not just accepting any joker who comes along. References are essential to keep yahoo's from leasing and destroying the land. They also need to check with their insurance company for liability concerns. Leasing can be a real pain if not done right. Good luck to your family in this endeavour.
