Indiana is great as far as nutrition and habitat go. The gun season runs 2 weeks like Cougar said, and directly following that is the muzzleloader season. So, in reality it is 3 weeks straight of guns. Personally, I think that is the reason for smaller bucks, they just get slaughtered.

Anyway, with 1500 unhunted acres, you certainly have the makings for some real monsters. It is nice flat terrain in most of the state and if he is farming it I would guess it is fairly flat too. I think you are in for a treat!
