Do you live in a dorm? Or near anyone else? I find it hard to believe you don't know anyone that doesn't have a charger that will fit your computer. Just charge your laptop on someone else's charger if you have to for a while.

I'm gonna bet used chargers have to be available as well.

How proprietary are they? Will no other charger fit it? If worst comes to worst you could find a charger with the same voltage, cut off the cord and splice your cord into it so the jack would work.


These things aren't rocket science, just basic DC voltage. All you need to do is feed it the correct voltage, and maybe not even that in some cases.

You might even be able to take the one you have apart and look at it to see if you can fix it. Might be something simple like a loose wire.

I don't know much about laptops, but most chargers are not that complicated of devices.

What are you going to do about school? Don't you use this computer for school as well?
