The recoil reduction at the shoulder is significant with my .300 win mag it " feels" like about half the recoil with the muzzle break on. Down side is that even with hearing protection on it feels like someone is slapping you in both ears at once. The concussion has to be experienced to really understand. This is another form of recoil and to me much worse.
I will take the shoulder recoil anyday. I took the muzzle break off and have no plans to ever put it back on.
If you can' t handle the recoil go to one with less recoil. You should be able to get by fine with a less powerful cartridge in most situations if you use the right bullet.
