Before I ever stated enjoying Mls and all they bring to ones life, I cast and reloaded for various calibers for myself and my Pop. One of the thingsI was taught to always do with a non jacketed bullet, was lube. Whether liquid alox, or a lube that's applied while sizing.
I just naturally carried this over to MLs. I ordered some 460 gr from No Excuses and they come lubed. Got some TC maxihunters and they come lubed.
it must be a good thing.
I know it's a must with BP cartridge shooting, so why not frontstuffers.
I believe the mainreason is to soften fouling and to possibly prevent worse leading than you'll get already. I could be wrong, but I'll continue to lube.
Even if it's only because it makes me feel better.
A good read......
