Default RE: Deer lease opportunity....What would you say?

Are you allowed to remove trees to create a food plot or two? How about removing non-mast producing trees to open up the forest some to spur undergrowth?

If you were to lease this and put in a LOT of work to getting it to produce can it be "taken away" through non-lease renewal?
Many questions need to be asked. I would insist on having EVERYTHING in writing. Consider these:
can prices change?, how is it determined?
who owns the land?, renewal options?
do others go thru your area to get to theirs?
who resolves conflict should it arise?
are the other guys good sportsmen?
how are you able to modify your area?
what if you wound a deer and it leaves your area?
is there a managment program besides the 100" rule?
why did the last guy leave? You might want to talk to him!
I would think that if this were a good organization they would have all this on paper already.
good luck
