Why all the anger when it comes to dog hunting?? I've done both still, and dog hunting and have enjoyed them both. Where in the heck does all the hostility come from? We can't be that far off from each other?

If the still hunters were required to hunt with dogs before getting a "still hunting license", and the doggies were required to still hunt before getting a "dog hunting license", we'd all be in the same camp! FAT, DUMB, AND HAPPY!!!! Hunting is hunting,,, we just need to walk a mile in the other guys shoes before jumping to conclusions.

Could VDGIF consider a "still hunting license" the same as a "dog hunting license"? Why not? We all make mistakes and we all need to be held responsible for our actions.

Just a thought. Petey.
I've had my still hunting session ruined 3 times last year by dog hunters. I've got 250 acres of property, and those dogs ran clear through it, messing up my hunt. All three times I had deer in the field. I believe two things: you should be able to control your dogs, or if you can't stop your dogs on a dime (which is mostly the case), then you should have a large enough chunk of property that the deer/dogs won't cross the property line.
