Hey man welcome to the site, ive been hunting since i was old enough to hold a gun. it started out with birds and lizards when i was 5 years old, i had the best BB gun ever, a Daisy Red Rider. sorry, anyways my point is start out small and work your way up, but also try deer hunting in the process, or find some buddies on the weekend and go squirrel hunting (its lots of fun). Oh, but first you do need to take a hunters safty course. if you cant find one go to Wal-Mart's hunting section and ask for a copy of Alabama's 07', 08' Hunting and Fishing Digest, My bad!! Alabamas wouldnt work try Virginia's.
