I'm wanting to get a 10/22 this year. I was wondering, could I find someplace to buy a reciever and then get me one of those carbon fiber barrel/stock combos from butler creek. And be able to do it cheaper than buying a new gun. My cousin has ffl license and I can get the gun at his cost. The only problem is, can I find a receiver cheap enough, or just buy the new gun. I won't be into competition or nothing like that, just plinking and squirrels. I've always used my brothers or my Dads when squirrel hunting with the dogs, it's time I get my own while I can still get the high capacity magazines!
