I would definitely go cheap buddy, the Lil Deuce is an excellent call to start with, and I still carry mine with me every day in the woods. It'sgot a muffled sound so I only use it forearlyroost talk and late morningfeeding calls.Dont expect the call to do it all for you, it takes many many hunts to gain the experience you need to make it happen. Whatever sounds you hear, try to learn how to mimic them, and you can do that easily with cheap calls. Different strikers can turn one call into many different calls so try out some different strikers. Another great call for a great price is the Primos Power Crystal which I use for loud cuts and yelps when I wanna be aggressive. It's got better volume and carries a long way, try it out. The best tool you can carry is PATIENCE.
