I keep mine in the freezer. I will be on my 3rd year with the same calls and these are my main calls. When you take them out of the freezer it will appear the the reeds are not good, but once they thaw the reeds tighten back up.

I would however keep at least one in your vest, because if you are like me you may forget to get them out of the freezer at 4am. I would forget my a$$ at 4am if it wasn' t attached.
