Bitz is a must have. You wont reget it. I shoot a recurve, so feathers are my game. Gateway or truflight. dont worry about right vs. left helical, the biggest difference is that the points wont try to untighten with right. Other than that, it doesnt matter. I shoot 5" feathers, sheild cut. Not much difference between the 2. sheild has a little more drag and stabilizes quicker. Plus, I like the traditional look. As for glue, good old fletch tite works best for me. just wipe the shafts with alcohol to get any oils off. If you are reshafting, soak them in acetone to remove all the old glue. I shoot aluminum, so Im not sure if that works with carbon or not.
