Most of the big name show use big professional2/3" chip camera's that cost thousands of $$$$$$ or beta cameras...........then there are others that shoot everything with pro-sumer cameras Canon XH A1, Sony V1U, Canon XL2 or XL1s Panasonic DVX100bor HVX200And some smaller companies use a combination of consumer and pro-sumer cameras, but your best picture quality will come from a 3ccd with a good image stabilization system and rock solid tripods and tree mounts.
