like everyone has said, a good place to start is by taking a hunter's safety course in order to allow yourself to learn the ins and outs of safety. Also, I'd say one of your best decisions was joining this site! There are tons of guys on here who can help you out with anything from slecting a weapon to scouting to food preparation! Also, picking up a few hunting magazines here and there and reading through them is probably a good idea (Deer and Deer Hunting). Anyways, best of luck in your new found hobby!
