Contrary to what a lot of people will tell you, there' s nothing wrong with using Loctite, as long as you stick with the blue stuff made for gun work. I like to mount my scopes as low as possible in relation to the scope height, so that when you cheek the rifle with your eyes closed, then open them, you are looking through the center of the ocular lens. There' s nothing basically wrong with Bushnell scopes, but, of course, the more expensive ones are better. I still have two Scopechief IV' s, a 1.5X-4.5X, and a 3X-9x, both with the Command Post reticle. It allows you to change back and forth betwwen a crosshair or post & crosshair reticle. Great for both open country or heavy woods!!
