Just found this on the G5 website, so I was correct in thinking they had revamped the original Tekan II.

LARGER CUTTING DIAMETER WITH BETTER PERFORMANCE[/align]
MEMPHIS, Mich., G5 Outdoors, the leading manufacturer in archery equipment and design, has reintroduced the popular Tekan expandable blade broadhead.
The Tekan now comes standard with a wider 1 – ½” cutting diameter creating massive entrance and exit wounds. The blades also incorporate a serrated leading edge design, ensuring full blade deployment upon impact.
The 100-grain Tekan now features a new black oxide coating and redesigned o-ring retention system that holds the blades in place more consistently, yet still only requires three pounds of pressure for full rearward blade deployment. The rock solid one-piece stainless steel ferrule utilizes a smaller ½ “ cut-on-contact tip for maximum penetration.
“We are very excited to get this broadhead on the market,” said G5 lead design engineer and co-owner, Nate Grace. “We were able to make a great mechanical broadhead even better.”
“To design and manufacture a broadhead with this level of performance and reliability is exactly what G5 is known for,” added Garret Armstrong, G5 Brand Manager. “We couldn’t be happier with the Tekan’s performance in the field.”
