Well the metal wheels started turning...I went out to the shop and grabbed a few old boards

And after a little cutting...and ALOT of sanding[&:]....this is whati ended up with
LOL!! Had I decided to grab a few boards I woulda been lucky to nail two of 'em together and call it a day.

Looks very nice.
