I wouldn't be afraid of it either for myself TFOX. If the bend starts to go back in at 70 lbs. you could try a little preload of bend the opposite direction from where you started.
I was trying to do that and was having some trouble getting that much bend in it.The furniture clamp I was using has a straight handle and I had to use a pair of pliers to turn it.I need a big c-clamp to take it further but at this point,don't see the need in putting the extra stress in it,it will only move so many times before it could reall be an issue.


Arthur.I did notice there were pads on the side of the riser that looked like they were designed to be there for a reason.
