I've heard people rave about them but only have one personal experience. My dad was shooting Federal Premiums loader with the Accubond out of his 7mm Rem Mag. I forget the weight. He shot a doe almost completely broadside at 40 yards. The deer ran about 200 yards. There was fresh snow so the tracks were easy to follow. NO BLOOD!!!!! I checked out the deer. Entrance through the ribs and no exit. It doesn't make any sense. Must have been poor QC or something. A cork should have penetrated at that speed and that angle.
If I was a betting man, I would say the bullet was a ballistic tip instead of an Accubond, but it is your story. I never have been a fan of Federal ammo.
