Well since the Preacher summonded me

11 months into my new life as an archery shop owner.

Big pay cut, big debt, big, well let's say adventure!
I like to do fun things for a living and am having fun running Double Lung Archery
Eventually, yes, I plan to make money doing it.
Business gets a little better each month.
Yes, it takes a toll on your personal life, just like any sales profession.

Leagues help! I run them all year long. Some are pretty full, others are pretty slim.

The current leagues, which I run on Tuesday and Thursday nights have a total of 25 shooters @ 10.00 per week
250.00 per week sure helps.

I wouldn't even consider not having leagues and plan to add some spot leagues and another kids league if there is enough interest.

We are going to do another "Cedar Valley Shop Challenge" shoot in March and this will will have teams from 5 shops if everyone wants to get on board. That will be another 25 shooters

I do not hire any extra help to run them. I get people to do the scoring as a favor and some freebies.

I have no employees besides me

I am not lazy

Last night when the windchill was -35 here, I think my league shooters liked having a warm place to shoot!

I have to go home now, it is my only early night. Weds nights I get to actually have dinner with my wife.
Well put Buelhunter! Running a business isn't easy. I own a business that runs 7 days a week, 365 days a year! As a business owner myself we need time to ourselves too and believe me your never going to make everyone happy. A person can only do there best, thats what I strive for and allot of the times I go over board trying to go the extra mile for everyone and end up getting crapped on anyway cause it still wasn't good enough!! Until one is married to there job like some of us are, don't be too quick to judge on work ethics!!
