I prefer the fleatherflex decoys because they are cheap, light, and flexible. I try to pack as least as possible when turkey hunting so I can move quick...so these decoys are purrrrfect.... They are only about $10-$15 for a decoy, so you can easily buy a couple.

The number depends on the mood/time in season. I will either use two hens, or two hens & jake. There are points when I leave the jake in the truck because I feel it will affect my hunt. In theory...you can't go wrong with a couple hens.
