i have used loc-tite on one gun. ( first rifle and scope ) was done by a place i bought my scope from. it was apain in the butt to get off. they must of used red.
every other gun i have owned since i just use leupold bases and rings and have had no problems with the scope getting jarred.dropped my old rem 7600 two years ago and shot it the next day was still on.
i only use loc-tite ( blue ) on my peep sights.
