I won't complain about Outfitters because that's a sign of the times and you can not blame farmers for making what money they can off of there land. I've got one spot that is better than it used to be and another that is not nearly as good as it was a few years ago. It is bordered on 3 sides by outfitters and I know there are a lot of 125" to 135" bucks taken there every season. Where used to there would be only 3 or 4 taken. I believe the extra Buck Harvest is beginning to show.

There are a ton of does though.

This is exactly why you should complain about someOutfitters! I don't begrudge any farmer making what he can off of his land, but that doesn't meanthat someOutfitters shouldn't do a better job of managing does. I am hearing rumors that the IDNR is considering forcing Outfitters to start taking more Does to keep their licenses. Over 90% of the deer harvested by non-residents in Illinois are Bucks. A recent article in North American Whitetail gave Illinois a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10 on their management of the deer herd even though it is ranked #1 in the number of Boone and Crockett deer entered in the bookoverall and number 2 behind Wisconsin in the number of Pope and Young deer overall.I honestly hope the next World record ISN'T taken in Illinois! The last thing we need is even more people with more Dollars than sense to come running to Illinois!
