Thats a good dear you got there and it looks like nice property behind you. I hope you can manage to get yourself a gun for next year because now your hooked

. If your looking for another place to hunt in addition to current hunting spot, dont forget to check out public hunting ground in your area. Here in Ohio I've seen some of the biggest buck come out of these places and alot of times over looked by hunters wanting to hunt private ground. Good lucknext year and enjoy your venison...........................Larry
I have been enjoying it. I made a big pot of chili with some of it, and divided that up for my lunches. Still have some in the freezer. Made some jerky, too. took the "true tenders" and cut them into cubes, wrapped them in bacon, and marinated them in Dale's for about 15 minutes, then skewered them and roasted them in the oven (it was too cold outside for my smoker). That was some good eatin'!
I've given some away, too, because I decided ahead of time that I would honor God with my first, whether a buck or doe. Every time someone gives me a compliment on the deer, I give more praise to God for letting me have it, too.
and you are so right about being hooked! I can't get enough of reading about hunting, and I'm ready to go out right now! too bad season is over here in GA. But turkey season is less than 2 months away! And if I can find some private land to get permission to hunt on, I can take all the feral hogs I want ("no limit, no closed season"). I have to limit myself to the open times for our WMA's, though.
