Personally, I'd have my Vet remove the dew claws. The Vet has the right equipment and expertise.
It usually only costs $3 or $4 per pup to have it done.

This is sort of what I was implying above... When I had a litter, I could have done it myself, but I really didnt want to butcher it up. The vet did all their shots and CERF's, OFA's, etc and dew claws. It is easier that way.

I guess you probably dont know what Boomer throws....? Molly? (Choclates, blacks, yellows, all of the above?)
Boomer has Chocolate in his background. As for Molly,,, your guess is as good as mine.

I got step by step instructions for the removal of the dew claws from a breeder that's been doin' it for 30 years.
Being a Taxidermist, I don't forsee any problems.
