Default RE: mineral stations in wooded areas

You may want to do a search on "mineral" in here. Also, check out the qdma website for articles as well. I'm under the impression (don't have the experience just yet) that it's beneficial to have mineral sites on your property to aid in antler growth and doe lactatacion. I don't think it will have near the impact of quality food plots year round, but it can't hurt.
Also, they say now is the time to put them out. That way the deer already have all their minerals stocked up when antler growing/fawing season starts. Almost everyone I've talked to agrees the deer activity at these sites goes way down after summer.
