RE: REPLACEMENT ROPE
I like for my hooks to just fall off the string and took a drill bit [the one size that doesn't quite fit, lol] and used it in drill like a rotary file to widen the slots a tad and radius the edges. I only had one for a long time when I saw an Excal one brand new in package at local pawn/bow/coin/atv shop. The owner said he wanted $45 for it, and when I laughed at him and he asked why, I told him $18 anywhere in the world, lol. When he was in the process of moving and I stopped by he threw it on the counter and asked me for $15. I've got ALOT of shots on both and haven't had to replace anything or have the pulleys give out.
