I would say without spending a bundle of money on a new stock you have 2 ways to go.
The picture above is or used to be a t/c hawkens rifle flinter from the mid 70's all is needed if you can find a stock called the PA hunter or the white mountain and all is needed is to flip the hardware from the hawkens into the other stock. The picture does show a more drop in the comb.
The next step is keep the hawken stock and install a t/c hunter peep on the tang the peep needs to be placed about 1/2 back from the first tang screw but you will need to drill and tap 2 holes for the peep sight.I find this set up help alot only reason is you don't need to dig your cheeck bone into the stock to pick up the sights.I also found that to replace the front stock bead sight with a fiber optic sight great set up for target or hunting one thing I forgot to mention the t/c peep comes around .040 you will need to open the pear peep hole to .090 lot more day light threw the set up fot early and late hunts.
I don't have th number of the front peep off hand right now but there is a guy who is selling them now for $8.99 on e bay new I think with shipping total $12.00
The rear peep can be purchased from midway or midsouth the stock you will have to keep a eye on e bay
hope this helps
