I use a Rem 700 classic (no iron sights) bolt actions are more accurate than others types. Mine shoots 1 1/4" groups @ 100 yds. The 30 06 in this rifel is a pleasure to shoot, not so with a BSA which weighs 1 lb less. I like the fact I can clear the breach with safty ON. This cal. is good for bear and moose, I bought it after falling to down a black bear at 75 yds.
