I do it the same way, except I use Glide Waxed Dental Floss. It's held my G5 peep in place for the last year with no problems, and it's likely a little less weight on the string (probably insignificant, but it might get you that 1 fps speed gain!). I don't say it's better, but in my house it's more available than serving, and it works LOL.

Also, on the G5 peeps, be careful not to serve too close to the peep, or else it could cause the peep to turn oval shaped. I wouldn't serve any closer to the peep than you did in your demo. Good post.
