Default Crazy turkey story !!

Turkey season here in Pa. is still a few months away, starting to count the day's till my favorite season. Thinking back to the encounters I have had with these birds, one of the most bizarre experiences I ever had with a gobbler was right in my driveway. Several years ago there were a flock of about 8-10 turkeys hanging around in the woods next to my house. I would see them roosting by the creek and sometimes they would cut across my yard to another set of woods. One cold morning I was leaving for work and was about halfway down my driveway when the turkey's crossed in front of me. I stopped the truck and watched as they crossed into my neighbor's yard about 35 yards in front of me. I coasted the truck down the drive a little further and watched them feed almost into the next patch of woods. When I stopped the truck a second time, my cold, frozen, dirty brakes squeaked. Well, this big gobbler let's out a gobble, turns, and starts trotting towards my truck. He gets to my truck and begins to strut around it. I realize what got his attention, so I drift forward and make my brakes squeak again. He goes NUTS! He begins to peck at my tire, rim, and he would stick his head under the wheel well looking for the source of the squeak. This went on for about thirty minutes ( I am self employed, so I had time to play his game and not have to rush to work). I continued to drift forward, back up, and squeak the brakes and this gobbler would just go crazy. I called my wife from my cell and told her to look outside, she asked why a turkey was pecking at my truck? After a brief explanation I told her to go get the video camera and bring it out to me. We waited till the bird was on the passenger side of the truck and she snuck across the yard and handed it to me through my window. I must have burned two gallons of gas going up and down my driveway playing this cat and mouse game with this crazy bird. I get out of the truck and sneak around the back of it to film the bird. When I move around the tailgate, he see's me and trot's towards me! I run back around the truck and get back in it. Now he is really mad. I put the windows down and hold the video camera out the window and begin filming as he is attacking my front tire. He then walks back towards my window and happens to see his reflection on the side of my truck (black paint) He has a fit, and begins to peck the SIDE of my truck at his reflection. Now I am pissed, it sounded like someone was pelting my truck with rocks, that's how loud it was! The only thing I could find in my truck was a long ice scraper behind my seat. I grab it and begin to yell at him and swat him in the head with it!!. HE DOESN"T LEAVE!!! In fact, he would bite the brush on my ice scraper when I swung at him, and he would actually pull some of the bristles out!! I was trying to hold the camera still and hit him at the same time. I did manage to get some of it on video. I fought him with the ice scraper for about three minutes, then I had enough and thought I had better get to work. I put the truck in drive and begin to leave. As I am driving down the rest of my driveway, I look in the mirror and he is running behind my truck! I turned onto the road, and he continued to follow my truck for about another 25 yards. My hunting buddy's didn't believe me. I took the tape to camp and played it for them, they were shocked. To this day, they say I should of sent it into America's Funniest Video's. I guess I didn't have to buy all those turkey calls, Dodge brakes and a shiny black paint job gets them within arms length.Anyone else have some crazy stories from years past?
