Default RE: How many of you are bowhunting Turkeys?

The best advice I can give when bowhunting turkeys is be patient!
Let them get close, and then pick a spot! AIM!!!!!!!!
The spot to shoot at?I prefer a side shot and aim for the spot where the wing meets the body,if you put an arrow in that spot he will not go far!
Another good shot is from the front,I aim just above the beard, again if you put an arrow in that spot he will not live long!
I use 100grn Spitfire mechanicals and if you are hunting turks with a bow you should be using an expandable,I have killed them with fixed blade broadheads, but the expandables are AWSOME on these birds, bigger cutting dia. and they tend to stay in the bird.Less pass throughs.
