I have shot targets with them.. they are very accurate. Actually a fun bullet to shoot. I was shooting science projects one day. That old fruits and vegetables that the refrigerator hid on me and then tried to change their molecular density. I set oranges and some old apples and a red cabbage out at the target and shot them with the 200 grain XTP. It just makes those things explode. What they would do in a deer I have no idea.
