Default RE: .270 or 7mm-08?

I have to go with the 7m-08. I own 2( but I also own a 300wsm and am purchasing a 270wsm). The 270 is a great round but it kicks hard enough to take the fun out of working up a new round. 7mm-08 ammo is widely available. Also, in my opinion, one should never buy a box of production ammo and assume it will shoot the same as the last box you bought. Take some time finding the right load for your gun, then buy 3 or 4 boxes and that should last you several seasons. I prefer "premium" ammo or custom because it does not vary nearly as much round to round. I have friends who will spend $1500 on their rifle and scope, $5000 on a guided hunt, and then brag about saving a dollar on a bullet. Go figure.
